In 1944 the Nazi military was working toward finding ways to better their troops. One method that was developed and tested on concentration camp inmates was D-IX, a mix of cocaine, oxycodone , and methamphetamine. The drug allowed the inmates to walk 55 miles with a 20kg pack before collapsing. The hope was that the drug could be used to create a high endurance soldier who could hold back the encroaching enemy. Pleased with the success plans were drawn up to mass-produce the pills and deliver them to all the troops. The war ended before this could happen.
